Metaverse Development – Return & Refund Policy for Stripe Credit Card Transactions Effective Date: January 1, 2025

Applies To: All Stripe Credit Card Payments via Metaverse Development Inc.

Vendor: Stripe – Official Policy: https://stripe.com/docs/refunds

1. Overview

This policy governs the return, refund, and dispute procedures for all credit card transactions processed by Stripe for Metaverse Development Inc. It ensures compliance with Canada’s PIPEDA, U.S. federal regulations including the FTC and FCBA, and UAE consumer protection laws. All disputes must be supported by verifiable evidence.

2. Data and Payment Security

We maintain PCI DSS v4.0 compliance with annual QSA audits and quarterly vulnerability scans. Our systems utilize Stripe Elements, meaning credit card data is never stored on our servers. All cardholder information is tokenized and encrypted in transit using TLS protocols. We implement Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) and regularly test for data security breaches.

2.1 Strong Authentication

All administrative access is protected with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Stripe’s support for EMV 3-D Secure ensures added verification during online transactions.

2.2 Data Privacy Compliance

We comply with all global data privacy laws including GDPR (EU), PIPEDA (Canada), CCPA (California), and UAE Data Law. No biometric, CVV, or cardholder data is stored on our platform. Cross-border data transfers are handled using Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

3. Refund Eligibility

Non-refundable: digital services, activated subscriptions, and consumed or downloaded products. Refundable: duplicate payments, technical failure, verified fraud, or unauthorized purchases reported within 24 hours with proof.

4. Requesting a Refund

Requests must be sent to transactions@metaversedevelopment.world within 7 days. Include full name, Stripe transaction ID, and evidence of issue (screenshots, timestamps).

5. Chargebacks and Disputes

Clients must contact us prior to initiating any chargeback. False chargebacks may lead to legal action and reporting to anti-fraud databases. Stripe may retain processing fees even when refunds are granted.

6. Jurisdictional Coverage

Canada: Federal PIPEDA and all 13 provinces/territories (ON, QC, BC, AB, SK, MB, NB, NL, NS, PE, NT, YT, NU). United States: FTC, Fair Credit Billing Act, Visa/Mastercard rules. UAE: Consumer Protection Law No. 24 (2006) and TDRA compliance.

7. Metaverse Context and Data Handling

Given our focus on metaverse development, we recognize elevated risks tied to virtual asset handling, biometric authentication, and decentralized IDs. We maintain secure session controls, encryption on wearable/AR devices, and fraud prevention for tokenized virtual payments.

8. Vendor Obligations – Stripe

Stripe handles all processing under its Data Processing Agreement (DPA). We rely on their infrastructure for tokenizing, encrypting, and securely storing payment identifiers. See https://stripe.com/docs/security/stripe for more.

9. Incident Response & Risk Mitigation

We follow NIST-aligned incident protocols. In case of breach, customers are informed within 72 hours. Our team monitors systems 24/7 with AI-based threat detection.

10. Subscriptions

Cancellations must occur 48 hours before renewal. No refunds for partial periods post-renewal.

11. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy without prior notice. The latest version will always be published on our website.
